LIFE ON AND OFF THE BIKE AT THE 46TH PARALLEL

I was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota and still call it home.  I have always had a passion for competition and seeking my own extremes.  Although I’ve participated in
many sports my true love lies in the woods.  Out in the

wild is where I can clear my head, where I find my peace,

and I prefer getting there by bike.

The Lutsen 99'er: The Belly of the Beast

A glance to my heart rate monitor told me my ticker was already working hard at 55 beats per minute above my usual resting pace. I tried to breath through my advanced rate in an effort to slow it down. My hands were shaking as I moved through a series of mental gymnastics in an effort to calm down. I was standing at the starting line of the 2016 Lutsen 99'er and I was nervous.
